Gun Week Wrap Up

We came home Saturday night - I stayed for the evening hunt and took a small doe that turned out to be a button buck.  He weighed 72 pounds field dressed.

He really was not obviously a male - I was surprised when I rolled him over.

For the first time, I caped the buck myself.  I think that I did a good job - we'll see when I get to the taxidermist tomorrow.  I transported both critters to the processor on this bumper rack.



Final tally for the week - 3 does, one button buck, and one 13 point (mainframe 8 point).  Not bad so I'm taking Sunday off.
