Farm Babies!

We had both kids home for Christmas and they each brought a new bundle of joy.  Amy and Doug were joined by Lucy in April this year.  Eric and Jeni welcomed Tommy in August.  After Christmas celebrations in Mason, we all went to the farm except Doug who needed to return to work.
Eric and I hung the new mount (2012 buck) in the elk room.  I'm hoping to have some mounts from Africa for the wall behind the couch.
Joan was relatively restrained with the Christmas decorations at the farm this year.
Aunt Karen found me this classic coat rack.  It used to have four hooves but her dog, Lily, thought that they tasted pretty good.  Looking for the perfect spot to hang it at the farm.
I also got this cutting board with "Tom Graham's Wild Game Bar and Grill" etched into it.  Redneckopoly was another gift. It's a version of monopoly that is not quite PC.
We ended up with great weather - sunny and high in the 50's.  This is the turnip field under the new hi=rise stand.
They've been munching on the turnip bulbs.
Eric and I got a few downed trees cleared from some trails.  I also got some brush burned in the firepit.
 Amy with Lucy and Tommy.
Joan, Amy, Lucy, Sydney and Chloe.
The guys.
I did go to the hi-rise stand Saturday afternoon.

First a small doe came out to eat turnips.
Next a nice buck came out.  He fed between 60 and 75 yards for 20 minutes.
I'm pretty sure this was the guy.  His body looked young but the 8 point rack was respectable.  It looked to be 20" wide but had small brow tines and not great mass.  He never got within my archery comfort range so I didn't have to decide whether to take him.
Saturday morning sunrise.
 Good morning greeter.
Tommy is a really good sleeper.
Lucy is jealous that Sydney can see out the window.
Lucy has started on people food and shovels it in herself sometimes.
Amy gave her some Christmas dinner leftovers - turkey, sweet potato, and squash.
 The grown ups had fajitas.
The shark that won at Redneckopoly.  Also had a laundry basket full of Christmas cookies.

Black powder next weekend - last real chance for a buck this season.

Trailcams - 3 Weeks Worth

I'm pretty sure that this owl has a mouse in his left talons.
Coyote hunting in the same area as the owl.
Kitty cat hunting in the same area as coyote and owl.
 Turkeys still around.
A nice buck at the scrape and licking branch by the driveway stand.
A little guy that wants to mark the same scrape.
 A nice buck in daylight.
Picture quality not good but a really nice buck.
This guy's rack looks broken - he lost a fight.
 Nice and wide in daylight.
A buck, during gun season, just outside the dining room window.

 Nice bucks in daylight.

This looks like doe-chasing, rutting behavior.  In daylight and almost Christmas.

I guess I missed this camera last time.
Dave and I on 1st of December.
 Eric and I today.
