There is a four day black powder season from January 9 to 12. We had 5 guys in camp for the weekend, It is currently 14 degrees with 15mph winds so I'm going to post some pictures instead of heading out to stand. I'll write another post when we finish up but so far, this season's luck is continuing.
Daylight. Shooter buck. This provided some optimism.
Another one.
Not very wide.
But would have been a nice one for Grant.
There are still big boys in the neighborhood.
Look at the brisket on this doe.
Dave encountered a couple of coyotes on the way out on the first morning. Took a long shot without success.
Fox (hard to see)
We've been seeing spikes, forks, young 6's and button bucks. No shooter bucks but not even any does. Very weird.
