Sara and Julia Go Country

My sister Sara (from CA) and my niece Julia (from Chicago) made it to the farm this week.  City girls go country.
Still pretty dry but we did finally get some rain this week.
Here's 7 years of rain observations for those that study these kinds of things.
I harvested a few apples before they arrived.  Joan made apple brown Betty.
Scary night time walk with Winnie (the dog).  An opossum was encountered.
Julia has developed an interest in archery.  Video at the end of the post.
A jigsaw puzzle is always a family activity.
Julia created the "grazing board".  A number of us assisted in its demise.
Dawn, Dave and the twins made it out for a visit.
I'm not sure how much longer Dave is going to be able to keep these boys humble.
 The camera tour.
 There's Winnie.

I did work on some more pumpkin harvest.  The bumper crop this year is these little white ones.
Probably the last load.
I spent a night in stand and saw 5 does.  Short video of me getting busted at the end of this post.  Dave also hunted and saw two small bucks.
 Athletic.
I'm not sure if this is a coyote or the neighbor's husky.
 Lots of fox activity.
 Something in his mouth?

The bobcat made one appearance.
And the coyotes.

Coons and possums always around too.
I'm not sure what this bird is but thought that it was a nice capture.
 Turkeys always attract...
 Coyotes.
A nice Tom.

There were literally hundreds of buck photos.  This is a somewhat random selection.

Grooming?

 Feisty already,

Turn the volume on - this is when you are busted!
