I was limited on what I could do because of a bout of sciatica. I actually feel pretty good when moving but if I try to sit or lay down, my butt and calf starts screaming at me. I got a prescription today and will see the Dr. tomorrow. Hopefully, this too shall pass.
But given my physical limitations , and since I was just out a couple days ago, we made a pretty quick stop.
I wasn't in any condition to be crawling around and weeding or even hoeing. So I did a little emergency weed control in the pumpkin patch. I used the zero-turn and the weed-whacker.I did get the first harvest of the year. The zucchinis are producing in spite of being smothered by weeds.
I found this rather long shed snake skin just below the dining room window.
We had several visits from fawns just outside that window.
They seemed to come out after a thunderstorm - we had a couple but the total rainfall was just 0.1".
The fawns are in frolic mode pretty much everywhere right now.
I did battle with this wasp nest on the gazebo during a previous visit. I won that battle but apparently not the war. It took more attention this week.
An interesting sky near sunset on Saturday. The plots that I got sprayed are showing some signs of success but another pass will probably be needed. I hope to plant fall plots around August 1.
