Grandkid Frolics

The Virginia crew was in this week. And the Chicago crew made it in town for the tennis tournament. A Dewey's and Graeter's outing was mandatory.

But, for the weekend, we first headed to the farm where Grandma showed off her new wheels.
And Grandpa did too.
We broke out my Father's Day gift - slingshots and paintballs.
Everybody had a turn.
Then we progressed to different armaments.
Starting with the 22 pistol.
For a first outing, Lucy was a deadeye. Here she is banging iron.  Lucy Banging Iron
We also shot the 9mm.

Then lots of Ranger rides.

Followed by some crossbow activity.
She didn't do too bad with it either.
Charlie gave the crossbow a try too.
And so did Doug.
Then we progressed to some fishing.

Some bluegills were landed.
Only one bass was hooked but it performed an auto-release at the shore.
In another first, Lucy tried driving.
It was interesting - check these videos. From onboard  From the Cabin
After dinner, we had some s'mores.
They were enjoyed by all.
The next morning we went for a hike.
And we swapped camera cards along the way.

Some people were over this hiking stuff before long.

And when we got back to the cabin, we went to the duct tape due to the swarms of seed ticks all over everybody.
So we went back to the range for some more shooting.

Charlie was shooting the rifle pretty well.
And more Ranger rides.

There was no rain in the gauge so Charlie watered the trees in the orchard.
The recently seeded food plots were spotty at best.

On camera we had raccoons vying for the deer block.

Some little bucks out and about.

The turkeys seemed to be eating up my recently planted seed.
The poults are growing.
And the coyotes are looking for them.

More touring.

Always a blast with the grandkids.
