This is a continuation of the previous post with some photo highlights of Joan and my western driving trip.
These are climbers below.
Almost 5,000 miles - I was about 60 miles late starting the trip counter. The time displayed is google maps calculated drive time - not the actual with sightseeing, stops and side trips. We started by visiting with family near Chicago and Minneapolis. The weather was good - we had almost no rain and mostly hot weather. We had one day of high winds while in ND that was quite chilly. Some days had poor visibility due to Canadian and Wyoming wildfires. We saw lots of wildlife including bison, deer, prairie dogs, coyotes, black bear cubs, mountain goats, burros, horses, turkeys and antelope. We were disappointed to miss elk, moose and bighorn sheep. But it was a fun trip and it is great to be home.
