Gun Week Trophy!

This is it! Joan gets the credit.  She spilled marshmallows and that's what brought the mouse into the trap.  We haven't decided yet whether to take it to the taxidermist.
The weather was a challenge.  Saturday was a deluge supplemented by fog.  The camera actually cuts thru the fog better than the human eye.
This was 30 minutes later.  Then the fog came back but worse.
I was in stand and this is what I was seeing.  The range finder was showing 21 yards no matter where I pointed it.
 Same view the next day.
Out the other side of the stand.
It got better and worse.
By Sunday afternoon it was 66 degrees with 40 mph wind gusts.
Really a nice day other than for hunting.  Anyway, Dave and I never saw a deer this weekend.
So we did some chores with Joan.
She wanted greens collected for decorating at home.
We cut two Ranger-loads of them.
The cameras confirmed that the deer do still live here.
Most of the activity was at night.
 Or in dense fog.
 Several shooters still in town.
Including Junior.

Big weather change this week - from tundra to tropical.

Lots of good greens still in the food plots.
 The foxes are active.

Some frigid trailcams from earlier in the week.

And tropical ones from today.
I guess we'll focus on the bonus gun weekend...
