February Frolic (1/2 Day)

I joined the recent fad and acquired a new rifle in 6.5 creedmore.  I've been itching to get out and shoot it but I had a few other obligations.  I got the targets hung and, of course...
It immediately started raining, freezing, fogging, and freeze-fogging.  I had plans to shoot 4 different rifles and I barely got a few rounds thru one of them before calling it due to weather.
Check out the icicles hanging off my elk target.  Anyway, the new rifle was on paper from 100 yards and it only took me about 6 shots to get it mostly sighted in.
I shot this 6 shot group before calling it a day.  The one out on the right was the last shot as my glasses were icing.  I think that I'm going to like this one.
I stopped at Tractor Supply on the way out and they had these feed pellets on sale.
I figured they could use a Valentines Day treat.
 Poop of the week (month).
Looks like a worm but it was really a little snake of some kind.  Dead on the slab in the barn.
I haven't been out in almost a month and a few routine chores got away from me.  One was checking the propane tank level.  It was on zero.  So I'm heating the old fashion way tonight.

Here's some Ohio Deer season news on dates and bag limits for this year.

This podcast with the "deer guy" from ODNR was interesting on the management perspectives and harvest statistics.

I took a look for some shed antlers but I struck out.
The cameras are showing most of them still in antler.
 Even little ones.

 Several cameras are acting up.

I think that this is the buck that has been one-sided since Christmas.
But there are others too.

This guy has dropped them both.
One bobcat sighting in 3 weeks.
 Lots of foxes.

 Coyotes

 Coon

 Puppies?
Not much turkey activity.
 Does look good.

Hopefully more time soon to shoot again.
