Our only granddaughter got a stomach bug and missed the short visit to the farm.
But these three little imps made it out for a day.
Nah, there's no mischief in these guys...
We did the usual Ranger rides.
Lots of help on the camera tour.
We had to overflow into a second vehicle.
Eric got the one atv out for a spin.
And he decided to head off and check out the trails.
Which led to this text message.
It required a walk to high ground just to find cell signal in order to request a rescue.
He got stuck on this log. It's hard to see but the more he tried, the more it slid to the left and was close to turning over.
I got the 2nd atv running and made it out thru the nearly impassable deep creek crossing. That's when I discovered that the radiator fan wasn't running and the engine was overheating. Made it back after getting mine a little stuck too. Some videos.

The adults stayed up late (almost 10pm!) playing a cut-throat game of Uno.
More Ranger rides.

Bonus Weekend - No Buck
Beautiful weather and there were lots of deer moving on Saturday evening.
I had these four in the main field, they moved over joined 3 more at the driveway, and I could see at least 4 more down by the pond. No bucks though. Didn't see a thing on Sunday morning.
I previously posted about this guy visiting with Joan at the bird feeders during gun week. I finally went back to see what the security cameras showed.
Here he is at the feeders.
Joan finally got my attention and here I am making a stalk. At 50 seconds I'm about to make my move.
At 51 seconds he' on the move and I just realized that I had the scope dialed up.
52 seconds and he's in the tall grass.
I had 2 seconds to acquire target and make the shot - wasn't even close.
On the hunt this week.
Big rub just down from the barn.
Another
And another
Poop of the week
More rubs - they sure like my pines.
Bad clock on this camera.
A 10 pointer at mid-day.
Nice buck.
Birdseed buck (I think).
Nice close up of a common view.
