More Family Fun

It's great to have family visitors in what we all hope is the post-Covid era.  This week our niece, Kristen, and her family stopped by on their way back to Florida after visiting her sister in Minneapolis.  Eric and his crew were still in town too.

Kristen and Leo were also travelling in an RV with their three kids and two dogs so we had an RV rendezvous.

But first they stopped by in Mason so that they could visit the Cincinnati Zoo.  The kids have been following Fiona online during the Covid isolation.
Fiona cooperated.

And since we were there we visited with a few other critters.
The weather was good for the whole visit but the zoo day was our hottest.

For relief, we visited our local landmark - The Cone.
Tommy went unconventional - he didn't get the orange and vanilla twist.
And then a cooling dip in the pool.

The weather at the farm was glorious for July.

Eric has entered the realm of crossbow hunting with this newly acquired Ravin.  Here's a slo-mo video (and you can't even tell) Ravin slo-mo
Yeti (little Leo) gave the 22 a try at the range.
A newly acquired kid's helmet permitted some atv fun.
The butterflies were out.  Joan kept up with her chores.  Joan mowing
We found an owl's feather.
And we did some fishing.

Some of us while wearing black patent leather shoes.

Yeti caught the biggest fish.  Tommy had one on too and Catcher went in for the retrieve.
More sparklers.
Eric's artistic eye catching the sunset over the prairie.
I helped Yeti to catch his marshmallow on fire.
Lots of Ranger rides - more on that to follow. The dogs had fun too.  On the retrieve
Team effort on cooking and dishes.
The following 20 or so photos are just a small sampling of what showed up on the trailcams.

And one of Eric and Creigh last weekend.
