Bugling Bull Arrives

I've been waiting for months for the delivery of my bull elk taken in Chama NM in 2022.  The taxidermy was done in August.  He finally arrived this week.

He's the first bugling mount that I've had done.  Violet was curious.
My helper Van graciously came out to help me hang him up.  Van is the handyman that does projects for me - and he fixes everything that I break.  He's just recovering from a heart attack and a stent.
We had to rearrange a few things to find room for the new bull.  Here's a tour of my accumulated taxidermy mounts.  Tom's Taxidermy - 20 Years Worth

I finally had a wet day with low winds to burn the pile that had been accumulating in my burn pit.
Back to archery so I hunted with my crossbow.  Not much happening.
I also got a good walk with the dogs. We found this substantial rub out front.
Poop of the week among the acorn.
Archery week.  Carrying the crossbow.
Walk with Violet.
Frolic in the main field clover.

Gun season last week.
Dave was out for the weekend.

Decided to show some of the other species - squirrel.
Possum.
Coon.
Bobcat.
Coyotes.

And a murmuration of some kind of birds.  They were fun to watch.
Some of the does.

Flexible neck.
Grooming.

And a few bucks.
Hope to see this guy in 3 or 4 years.
