The weather was a scorcher and then we had a couple of impressive boomers, but we managed to get in some shooting and to buzz around on the Rangers. Steve brought his AR and his new Henry 22 magnum. I also spent a couple hours meeting with alarm companies.
This was the Saturday afternoon shower. We had some lightening strikes close enough to drive the ladies off the porch. They we close and loud. About 1/2" in 20 minutes on Saturday afternoon and almost an inch in an hour on Sunday afternoon.
When you are working hard in the fields, it is important to keep your body nourished.
Working farm dogs.
There was a very intense cornhole match with alot of trash-talking.
Eventually, a number of issues had to be referred to the umpire.
The umpire.
She announce Steve as the official and uncontested champion.
We did alot of damage to a number of targets with various implements. Then I went to 200 yards and shot the 30-06 off sticks (practice for Utah elk hunt). I got one in the 10 ring and then a pretty big distribution mainly to the left. There are a few smaller caliber shots in this target - that was Steve shooting the AR with iron sights at 200 yards - impressive.
Touring for the camera checks
Steve and I also managed to clear a few of the trails using my new chainsaw (see crime-spree post) to at least make them passable.
