Turkeys and Trailcams

It's been 3 weeks since I made the camera tour.  Two cameras had dead batteries but there were still alot of images.  Ohio Spring turkey hunting season opens 4/22.  It is set to coincide with the mating season.  The evidence on the cameras indicate that the season is already warming up.

They showed up all over the property at all times of day.
Sometimes strutting...
Sometimes with deer around...

Sometimes in crowds...
Sometimes in pairs...
Sometimes alone...
Some with nice beards...
Some with nice fans...

This one was on the run for some reason...
And this was the reason.
Fox.
Cat.

There was a snowstorm on 3/25 - the day I drove to Virginia.
March 16 and this little buck still has antlers.
Big crowds of deer showed up on camera even though I had not baited in front of the cameras.
In multiple locations.
Some bucks look ready to start working on new antlers.
Looks like doe with last year's fawn.  The fawn looks very thin.
This guy still has a substantial neck.

 Big crowds of deer.
Bedded doe behind raccoon at mineral lick.
