Same camera as two weeks ago and here he/she is again.
Same shot expanded.
He's out right at dusk and the camera isn't sure whether to take a regular or an IR flash shot.
The flash photo quality isn't as good. I'd like to get him in good daylight.
Let's hope that the bobcat doesn't find this. Do you see the newborn fawn?
Same shot blown up.
We also saw a fawn along the road. Many of our does still look pregnant.
Somebody else looking for fawns. Coyote.
I think that this fox is unlikely to bother them.
Coon.
I worked on planting the prairie plot. I've had 3 acres under cultivation for almost a year. I finally got to plant it this weekend. The seed was very light and fluffy so I used pelletized lime to mix with it.
This is the blend. The first year is not supposed to be impressive as they mostly put down roots. Hopefully other weeds don't take over. I killed weeds at least three times since cultivating.
I planned to use the atv spreader to plant. It didn't work out.
It wouldn't flow thru the spreader so I had to broadcast it with this hand spreader.
I also planted the orchard field in a clover mix from the Wild Turkey Federation.
I used a soil treatment to suppress weeds (Prowl).
And I planted this food plot mix at the firepit. I'm still waiting for fertilizer to be spread - service is all backed up due to weather.
This is the prairie plot after planting. Main field hi-rise visible in background.
View more from the driveway.
The view from the 200 yard shooting stand to the targets was blocked by some black locusts (which I hate).
Van took care of the obstruction for me.
The existing clover plots looking pretty good. This is the driveway stand.
Clover and chicory by the main hi-rise stand.
Chicory and clover behind the pond hi-rise.
Clover by the front of the pond stand.
Barn stand.
A really large set of deer prints in the prairie plot.
Young buck.
I can never get over the ticks on the back of their ears.
I reset the clock on this camera a week ago. Defaulted again to 2014.
This is 30-06 WINA minerals.
This is the minerals from Tractor Supply. Record Rack.
Decent buck.
Touring with Joan.
For my wife - I do wear a helmet.
