Another Fun Weekend

We had two grandkids left in town and we were on our own with them.
Our daughter headed off to a conference in Denver and we had the duty.
 So we fed them s'mores.
 Perfect.
We saw lots of butterflies.  If you're really into them, I took some videos too.  I'll sprinkle the links in like this.  Butterfly one.
 Butterfly two
 Butterfly three
 Butterfly four
This photo was interesting because I inadvertently got a caterpillar (monarch?) in the background.

The pumpkin patch is dry.  No rain in about 2 weeks.  I did get some weeding done and tried to do a little watering.  Rain forecast for Monday.
 First harvest.
The pond is complete yuck.  No fishing even attempted.
Prairie plot looking good.
Legume plot has a lot of weeds.  Several of the fields with sunflowers look like they might bloom in a week or two.
The barn rollup door is white and it has a sodium vapor light above it.  This guy has been there every morning.
He had several friends - I'm no moth expert.
But there was a lot of variety right I the area of the door.
This guy was small but interesting.
The bobcat was back and he looks big.
I'm not sure if it is the same one that we've seen recently.
 The fawns are getting bolder.

This cat seems to have taken up residence.
In spite of the cats, we still have turkeys.

Sunflowers behind this fawn.
Deer and bunny in the same shot.
 A few bucks around.
I believe that this is mutant Jr from last year.
They are already picking apples off the tree.

 Coyotes too.
The rest of these are trailcams from both weekends.  I had helpers with the mowing.

 Making faces for the camera.

Checking for prints in the deer vitamins.
We checked for more berries - only a few left (which we ate them on the spot).

And no ticks!  There were a gazillion millipedes though.
